Ranking your site in Google for each of your keywords is not easy to do in such a competitive world.
Whether you’re a blogger or an SEO expert, if you want to generate great results for your SEO campaigns, you need to monitor keywords and track SERP across different search engines and devices.
By using the right keywords and SEO optimized content, your website can rank among the top 5 search engine results pages.
How do you find the right keywords?
If you get the right keywords (which is not an easy task), how will you keep track of them?
At that time, I would like to suggest you one of the best rank tracking tools available in the market, i.e., AccuRanker.
In this AccuRanker review, I’ll show you how the AccuRanker works, and why I have been using it for the past 2 years.
What is AccuRanker?
AccuRanker is a rank tracking tool that provides you with up-to-date and accurate keyword ranking data. This tool can be used by both SEO professionals and agencies to gain valuable insights into your site’s positions for various keywords.
And they monitor keyword tracking across all major search engines, including Google, Bing, YouTube, Baidu, and Yandex.
To make an effective SEO strategy, AccuRanker offers daily updates and on-demand data. It means you can refresh keyword rankings whenever you want to.
Along with keyword tracking, it also allows you to analyze SERP history. You can better understand which SERP features drive the most traffic to your site, and then you can make your next strategy.
AccuRanker is used by some of the world’s biggest agencies, including HubSpot, HBO, Kinsta, Salesforce, and many more.
Set up AccuRanker by following the below steps.
To get started, create an account by entering your email address.
Then, you’ll have to verify your email address. To do so, click on the confirmation link in the email.
Here comes the worst part.
Once you click on the confirm link, you’ll be redirected to a page where they will ask you to fill out the payment details for a paid plan instead of the free trial.
To start with the free trial, you have to contact their support team via email, and you’ll receive their response within a day or two.
In the below image, you can view the specific questions they asked me when I reached out to them for a free trial.
After replying to all of their questions, they will share a link where you have to provide your company and contact information.
Once you fill out the information and agree to the terms and conditions, you’re ready to start your 14-day trial account.
After logging in, you need to add a domain. In the dashboard, click on the “Add domain.”
You can also select the domain menu from the left-hand side and click on the “Add Domain” button.
Enter your domain name, and when you select a search engine, you’ll get various options (see in the below image).
Your results will depend on the search engines and devices you choose here. After that, add a location and then click on “Add Locale.”
Once you’ve added a locale and fill the remaining fields, click on the “Save” button.
Following Step 2, you’ll be taken to the next window, where you have to add your keywords. Various options are available to add your keywords:
1. Enter keywords manually
2. Use keyword suggestions
3. Connect to Google Search Console
4. Import from CSV
You can integrate the Google Search Console account to import all the relevant keywords.
Similar to Step 2, here also you can add search engine and location. You can add locale while adding a domain or keyword; it does not affect the results.
Once you click on “Add Keywords,” you can view and track your keywords on the AccuRanker dashboard.
In this section, we will discuss the best features and how they can be useful for practical applications.
Let us first understand its dashboard.
The AccuRanker dashboard looks like:
The dashboard gives you an overview of all the domains you’re tracking, including:
- Number of keywords
- Average Rank
- Share of Voice
- Ranking Distribution
If you click on the domain name, you’ll be redirected to the Overview section.
Don’t worry! I’ll discuss each metric of the overview section.
Share of Voice is underlooked by many SEO experts, although it helps you analyze your SEO efforts.
Share of Voice (SoV) indicates how your keywords are performing. You can see the metric in the overview section.
Let’s see how AccuRanker calculates SOV:
Takes the CTR for the keywords that rank between 1 to 20 and then multiply it by the monthly search volumes.
You can also view SoV for your tags and competitors:
- Share of Voice Competitors: Shows your and your competitors’ share on the market.
- Share of Voice Tags: Shows SoV figures for the combined total of the keywords with tags applied in your AccuRanker account.
- Share of Voice Landing Pages: Displays SoV figures for the combined total of the keywords pointing to your Landing Pages.
You need to understand that AccuRanker calculates SoV for the keywords that you’ve added in the keyword section.
If you want to calculate SoV for each of your keywords, you’ll need to add all keywords in the AccuRanker.
You can learn more about the Share of Voice by reading these two guides:
Ranking Distribution lets you monitor the ranking history of your tracked keywords.
Overall, it helps you to gain insight if keywords are moving up or down. I tracked my high-ranking keywords using Ranking Distribution.
AccuRanker splits your keyword ranking across six different groups.
You can also view the keywords that are ranking within a specific group range. For instance, click on the range 1 – 3 to see keywords listed in this particular range.
AccuRanker calculates the average ranking of your keywords (that you’ve added) over time.
You can compare the average rank of your keywords on different dates or time ranges. Click on “Compare to” in the top right corner of the Overview section.
I didn’t find it the most useful feature because it only calculates the keywords that ranked in the Top 100 results.
- If your Keyword 1 ranks at 1st position while Keyword 2 ranks at 150th position. Then, the Average Rank will be 1 since Keyword 2 does not come under the Top 100.
- If your Keyword 1 ranks at 1st position while Keyword 2 ranks at 50th position. Now, the Average Rank will be 25 since Keyword 2 comes under Top 100.
Now, we’ll see other tabs next to ‘Domain Overview.’
In the Keywords tab, you can view the list of your keywords. Along with that, you can also monitor the performance of each keyword based on various metrics, including location, rank, SoV, SERP features, age, and more.
AccuRanker provides high-level filtering. You can filter a keyword-based on its information.
If you want to filter the location of a keyword, simply type it in the below box of location metric.
You can add filters for any of the metrics. Additionally, it also allows you to add multiple filters.
For example, you can add filters for location and rank simultaneously, and you’ll get the results accordingly.
If you find adding filters difficult like we discussed above, you can choose another option, i.e., by clicking on “Add Filter.”
If you’re going to use a set of features regularly, then you can manage that segment by clicking on the “Save segment.”
Furthermore, you can track the history of any keyword, and you’ve to click on a keyword, which will redirect you to rank history. It will not show only your domain ranking history, but your competitor’s ranking history also.
The Competitors tab lets you compare how your Share of Voice and Ranking Distribution are trending relative to your competitors.
You can monitor the winner and loser by analyzing whether your competitor moved up or down, and if you’re on the losing side, then it’s high time to take some actions.
Now, move to the next tab, i.e., Competitor Ranks, where you can view your competitor’s rank for your keywords.
The Landing Pages tab lets you identify the number of keywords and search volume data for each URL.
Apart from keywords and search volumes, if you want to see other data, you’ll need to integrate Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
If you want more in-depth details for each of the columns, visit Landing Pages.
Before we discuss Tag Cloud, you need to first understand about Tagging.
Tagging helps you to categorize keywords into groups. Suppose you have hundreds of keywords, then with the help of tags, you can find your keywords easily.
You can add tags while adding the keywords, but in case you haven’t allotted any tag. Then, navigate to the Keywords tab, mark the keywords you want to tag and click on Edit, and select Add tags.
A pop window will appear, where you’ve to enter a new tag or select an existing tag.
Now, move to the Tag Cloud tab.
Essentially, it lets you analyze the performance of your every tag by providing valuable data like search volume, bounce rate, SoV, monthly visitors, and more.
In the above image, “All uncategorized keywords” indicates that some of the keywords are not
added within a tag.
AccuRanker allows you to integrate with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets, and Databox.
To connect AccuRanker to your Google Analytics account, click on “Google Analytics” and follow the step-by-step guide.
AccuRanker allows you to create customized reports that can be sent to your team members or clients. The tool provides you with four report templates by default; however, you can also create custom reports from scratch.
While creating a report, you can specify the report file type (PDF, Excel, CSV, Google Sheets), language, delivery schedule, email subject, and body.
You can use SERP Checker regardless of signing up on AccuRanker. With this tool, you can view Google SERPs for any keyword, in any country, and on any location for specifying mobile or desktop searches.
Its location-specific results will help you to make an effective SEO strategy. For example, if you’re a US-based agency and your client resides in Canada, you’ll see local search results based on the client’s location rather than US-based results.
So, you can see accurate search results anywhere in the world without spending much of your time.
SERP Checker shows you the organic results and paid ads as well. You’ll also be able to see the “People Also Ask” section. You can use this tool for free up to five searches a day.
AccuRanker’s Google Grump gives a rating that highlights changes (or unrest) in Google’s Algorithm. The Grumpier the mood, the more fluctuations in rankings. In the below image, you can understand the fluctuations based on ratings.
Google Grump rating is calculated by the average number of rank changes across the top 100 results per keyword.
The tool tracks 30,000 randomly selected keywords each day and monitors the fluctuations (if any). The results are split 50/50 between desktop and mobile.
AccuRanker pricing is one of the simplest among all the SEO and marketing tools. The price is based on the number of keywords you want to track. You can track from 1k up to 50k keywords each month.
By default, the minimum keywords to track is 1k that costs you $99 per month billed annually, otherwise $109 per month. The cost will be increased if you move the slider to select more keywords.
The plan includes various features such as unlimited users, unlimited domains, advance reporting, SERP history, tag cloud, and more. Here, you can view all the features included in the paid plan.
The plan can be upgraded, downgraded, or canceled at any time, at no cost. However, you can use the 14-day free trial to understand the working of AccuRanker before making an actual buy.
You might see AccuRanker as an expensive tool. Some of the rank tracking tools are inexpensive compared to AccuRanker, while other tools offer not only rank tracking but also other marketing tools.
