One of the most used SEO rank tracking and reporting tools is ProRankTracker.
Won’t it be great if you can track your SEO campaigns while on the go?
Good news, folks!
ProRankTracker introduced its mobile app through which you can manage your account or rank tracking on your smartphone.
In this ProRankTracker review, we will see the features and capabilities of ProRankTracker so you can understand what benefits you’ll get by using the tool.
What is ProRankTracker?
ProRankTracker (or PRT) is a cloud-based rank tracking, analysis, and reporting tool for SEOs, SEMs, agencies, and enterprises.
You can analyze how well your keywords rank in various search engines, including Google, Yahoo, Bing, YouTube, Yandex, and others. It allows you to generate unlimited reports which can be fully automated and exported to Google Drive and Dropbox.
ProRankTracker has an intuitive interface and provides reporting on various languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Dutch.
It will automatically check the ranking of your tracked keywords every day. Apart from daily updates, you’ll be able to get on-demand updates for your tracked terms.
ProRankTracker claims that their tracking algorithm is better than any of its competitors in the market. So if you’re not satisfied with your current rank tracking tool, you must give it a chance.
You can read ProRankTracker testimonials, which backs up their claim.
Before discussing the various tools offered by ProRankTracker, I would like to explain its primary offering, i.e., SEO rank tracking.
For example, you can monitor your website rankings on different search engines and devices, and in various locations and languages.
Firstly, you need to know that ProRankTracker uses “Terms,” which is counted as 1 for every URL, Keyword, and Search Engine combination. You should keep in mind the concept of terms because many people consider them as keywords only.
The first thing is to add terms that you want to track. To do so, follow the below steps:
Login to your account, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard where you’ve to click on “Add Wizard.”
Enter the URL and select where you want to track your rankings, such as Desktop, Mobile, YouTube, Amazon, or Local Finder.
If you select “Mobile results,” you’ll have to choose the mobile device – iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone.
Then, select the search engines, although you can choose more than one search engine.
You can localize your tracking by selecting a particular location, but it is limited to Google only (exclude other search engines).
In the third step, you’ll have to add search terms that you want to track. This step helps you to narrow down your tracking to the terms that you’re interested in.
In the last step, ProRankTracker will suggest the terms you already rank for on your selected search engine and device. You can choose the terms that you want to add.
This particular feature helps beginners to explore the new keyword ideas that they might be interested in.
Lastly, click on “Add Selected and Completed.”
Now, you can view the ranking summary on your dashboard.
You can monitor data in three different views, including URL, Team, and ListView.
The URL View allows you to track your URLs individually.
You can also track each URL’s various details, such as which terms are ranking highest and how rankings have changed over the last 24 hours, a week, or a month.
Additionally, you can view the rank history graph. Firstly, checkbox the terms for which you want to see the rank history graph, and then click on the graph icon as shown below.
The Rank History Graph for selected terms will look like this:
Next, the Term View shows you the tracking of each term separately. Here, you can view the Rank History graph the same as in the URL View.
Lastly, the ListView displays each URL that you’ve entered in a list form. You can download tools and reports directly from this section (we will discuss the report section in the latter part).
The tools offered by ProRankTracker differentiate itself from the competitors. You can discover new keywords and perform a comprehensive SEO audit for your site.
You can use the site audit to optimize your on-page SEO. Further, you can generate an SEO report for your clients with white-label options.
To get started, navigate to Site Audit under the tools section from the left-side menu and click on “Add New Site-Audit Report.”
After that, you need to enter the URL and number of pages you want to crawl. You can “toggle yes” if you’re going to crawl subdomains as well.
Click on “Save,” and you’ll be able to view a summary of your site audit.
The tool generates two site audit reports, i.e., short and full reports.
Firstly, we will see the short site audit report. Click on the icon, as shown below:
You’ll be redirected to a site-audit summarized report where you can see the total score and scores based on individual factors.
Click on any factors mentioned in the list, and you’ll be automatically presented with its detailed description.
For example, if I select “Page Structure,” you’ll see the section something like this:
In the above image, you can see the issues. Additionally, It suggests what steps should be taken to correct the specific issue.
In this way, you can monitor all the factors and improve your site’s on-page SEO to increase search visibility and rankings.
Now, go back to the site audit dashboard and click on full reports.
Here also you’ll be redirected to a site-audit report. Unlike Short Reports, you can view the tabs for each factor, including Tech & Meta, structure, Content, Links, Keyword Check, Page Rankings, and Ranking Discovery.
For example, if I switch to the “Tech & Meta” tab, an in-detail summary of the factor can be seen.
Similarly, you can switch between all the tabs and analyze your on-page SEO accordingly.
Ranking Discovery helps you find the hidden term combinations your website is already ranking for, but you’re not aware of them.
You can access Ranking Discovery from the left menu by navigating to Tools > Ranking Discovery.
It will display the terms for all the URLs in your account; however, you can add the terms you want to track by selecting them from the left box and then they’ll move to the right box as shown below:
To add them, click the Add button at the bottom right.
Furthermore, you can click on the “Single URL” button on the top right to view the discovered ranked terms for a URL.
It will then display all the terms with their details (rank, device, search engine, location, language, etc.)
Now, checkbox the terms that you want to add. Once you select all the terms, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Add terms.”
You can use the Ranking Discovery tool for other useful things as well.
With Keyword Suggestions, you can find and add new keywords for your tracked URLs. You can select a URL from the top, and you’ll see a keyword suggestion list.
To get started, navigate to Tools > Keyword Suggestions. Then, select the URL for which you want new keyword ideas.
After that, you’ll see the keyword suggestions for every term.
Select the new keyword from the suggestion list, and you’ll see that the selected keyword will move from left to right box.
And many more (depending on the number of terms you’ve added in the URL).
Once you add all the keywords you want to track, click on any of the Add buttons – Desktop, Mobile, or Local Finder.
You’ll then be redirected to the Advanced Wizard, where you can change or update the settings for your tracked rankings.
With ProRankTracker mobile app, you can easily track your website. You’re no longer limited to accessing the tracking via your desktop or local computer – ultimately, it helps you check essential aspects of your site at any given time.
It offers two apps, namely Pro Rank Tracker and MyRanks.
While MyRanks is a mobile app for your clients branded with your logo and company details. You can give it to your clients and they’ll be able to live access to their ranking stats. You can download the app from Google Play Store or App Store.
You can view your site rankings directly from your WordPress admin panel. You’ve to install the plugin and see the statistics right within your dashboard without ever using the ProRankTracker official website.
It also provides API access to integrate your marketing and tracking system seamlessly into any proprietary system that your agency is using.
The best thing about ProRankTracker is it is not only a rank tracking tool, but it also provides you with several customizable and downloadable reports.
The reports can be sent via email or saved to your Dropbox or Drive account.
The Overview Reports give you a comprehensive report of overall analytics of each site that you’ve added in the account.
You can further break down your report structure in four formats.
Progress Reports allow you to see the progress of each URL over a certain period. You can view and download the reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
With Comparison Reports, you can compare two different URLs simultaneously. It helps you to monitor the performance of your website to that of your competitors.
You can even compare the rankings of the same term on different search engines.
Benchmark Reports allow you to compare term rankings on different timelines, such as between two dates, two weeks, or two months.
ProRankTracker offers five plans, namely Basic, Starter, Standard, Advanced, and Business. It also offers a free 7-day trial plan in which you can run 2 URLs and 20 terms.
The Basic plan starts from $25 per month with which you get 200 terms and one site-audit (and 20,000 pages), but there’s no update-on-demand for tracked terms. This plan is best for a blogger who manages only a single site.
In all the plans, you’ll get unlimited URLs and reports, daily updates, local & mobile tracking, shared reports, white-label, PRT mobile app, and 24/7 ticket support.
If you’re an agency and manage a large number of clients, you should go with either Starter or Standard plan. Although the choice between the two depends on how much terms and site-audit pages you need.
The Business plan starts from $180 per month for 3,000 terms. However, you can increase the number of terms; the price of your plan will increase accordingly.
You can compare the features of each plan to decide for which plan you should go to.
Book a Demo in which you’ll receive a personalized demonstration from their support team, and you can ask the questions that were stopping you for a paid plan.
