Superstar Blogging vs Blogging Fast Lane

So, you’ve decided to dive headfirst into the world of  blogging, have you?

Maybe you have been following other bloggers that get the chance to travel the world, adventure and explore, and make six-figure (or more) incomes like clockwork with nothing more than their phone and their computer.

Maybe you want a piece of the action yourself, the chance to give up the 9-to-5 grind, and a chance to enjoy total freedom – including financial freedom – that a running a blog could offer.

Maybe you just want to make a bit of money on the side, though, supplementing your income while you take weekend trips or weeklong adventures every now and again.

Regardless of what has brought you to this decision, finding the right guide to help you avoid common mistakes that could sink your blogging business right out of the gate is important.

The only trouble is, there’s no shortage of guides out there promising the moon and the stars when it comes to helping you get set up and going.

Lots of guides are going to promote themselves as the “be-all, end-all” course for travel bloggers. Some of them are actually worthwhile, but most are really best avoided – especially the real cheap options that feel hammered out as a quick cash grab more than anything else.

And then you have the guides that are almost universally bloggers by actual travel bloggers. You know, the kind of guides that are recommended time and time again by folks that have actually used them to get total financial freedom from their own travel blog.

We are talking about guides and programs like the Superstar Blogging course and the Blogging Fast Lane.

These two programs are at the top of the mountain when it comes to travel blog courses. People absolutely love both of them, praise both of them more than pretty much anything else out there, and both have fantastic track records for helping people get set up and making real money from blogging in 2020 (and hopefully beyond).

The only trouble is, most people don’t have the time or the money to get their hands on both Superstar Blogging and Blogging Fast Lane.

They have to settle on one or the other, choosing one to build their travel blog on top of and ignoring the other (at least at first).

But how do they decide?

Well, that’s why we have put together this quick comparison review.

Let’s get right into it and find the right program for you!

Overview of Superstar Blogging

Created by a guy that goes by the name of Nomadic Matt, a fella that has one of the most successful travel blogs on the planet right now, there’s a lot to like when it comes to the Superstar Blogging program.

For starters, absolutely everything about this course revolves around travel blogging exclusively.

There are other courses out there that teach you how to build a more generic blogging, but Superstar Blogging isn’t one of them. This is a course focused on travelers, explorers, and adventurers that want to make piles of money while documenting their journey along the way.

That really stood out to us. We liked the way that it was focused on travel blogging exclusively, that the overwhelming majority of advice was going to be immediately useful, and that we weren’t going to have to try and make a more generic approach to blogging work for a travel specific set up.

Secondly, the comprehensive nature of the blog was very impressive as well.

This is obviously something that Nomadic Matt has really thought out and considered, something that he has tested and toyed with, and something that he has really fleshed out.

Each of the individual weekly modules are available in order as you complete them, adding a structure that sort of slows you down but also make sure that you really focus on the lessons at hand. At first I was a little bit skeptical about this approach. I want to be able to tear through everything at my own pace, bouncing around the course as I saw fit.

It wasn’t until week three or four, though, that I really started to appreciate how this structure helped me master the material available. I could still cruise through as quickly as I wanted – as long as I finished the lesson I was on – but the deliberate nature of the material definitely help things soak in better.

I also really liked how things moved from a more theoretical and conceptual kind of nature into the nitty-gritty of actually building the blog, monetizing it, and marketing it later down the line.

Coming from a 100% nontechnical background I was a little bit hesitant about diving into actually building a blog myself. Nomadic Matt shows you how to use WordPress tools (100% free of charge) to get things up and running and to build a beautiful and functional blogging in a hurry up, eliminating all of those fears or me almost instantly.

Traffic generation tips and tactics were well done, the guide was pretty comprehensive, and the monetization schemes that Matt actually uses himself were dissected in depth, too.

I did feel like the monetization material was a little bit light compared to Blogging Fast Lane, though, if I’m being fair. I don’t know if that’s just because Matt hasn’t stretched his wings to generate other sources of income as much as the Blogging Fast Lane people have already or not, but it definitely did feel a little lacking.

Who’s This Program For?

This course is very much designed from the ground up for people that want to build a travel blog above all else.

Sure, folks looking to build a more general blog or a blog in a different industry will be able to use a lot of the information in Superstar Blogging. But you aren’t going to be able to use all of the examples or all of the information quite as easily in these other fields as you would in the travel world.

If you want to dive headfirst into travel blogging this is definitely one of the better resources to help you hit the ground running straight out of the gate.

Superstar Blogging Pros and Cons

PROS:

  • The material covered is complete and comprehensive
  • The educational portal is very easy to use, very modern, and super accessible
  • The lessons on writing specifically were very impressive
  • The technical help was much appreciated (especially since I didn’t have that much technical know-how to begin with)
  • The case studies and interviews as well as the webinars and conference call support material was a big plus

CONS:

  • I didn’t love how the lessons were doled out one right after another and would have liked everything available all at once
  • The marketing and monetization material in this guide was a little bit light, especially compared to Blogging Fast Lane
  • The price wasn’t unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m not 100% sure that I really got my money’s worth

Overview of Blogging Fast Lane

Blogging Fast Lane is another blogging business program that is so often recommended to folks just starting online, and after you dig a little bit deeper into the course it’s not hard to see why.

To begin with, the program was created by a couple named Tom and Anna that have one of the most popular travel blogs in the world today.

They run the blog “Adventure in You”, a blog that sees more than 500,000 visitors each and every single month – and their traffic keeps growing month after month, too. They’ve been pulling down a full-time income via blogging for a number of years already and it feels like they have spilled all of their secrets in the Blogging Fast Lane for sure.

One of the coolest things about Tom and Anna is that they share information about their income every month right on their blog, with total transparency. They tell you about the ups and downs, about how they make north of $30,000 a month now – sometimes a lot more than that, too – and aren’t at all shy about digging into how they pull that off, either.

Of course, everything that they share for free through their website and blog is just the tip of the iceberg. Once you get into the actual modules of the Blogging Fast Lane course you really see the curtain all back even further, learning exactly how to put these pieces of the puzzle together for yourself to enjoy the same kind of financial freedom.

There’s nothing else like that on the market today.

Like a lot of other blogging courses, Blogging Fast Lane starts off with the basic fundamentals of getting your first blog up off of the ground. The technical stuff isn’t quite as in-depth as the Superstar Blogging platform is, but at the end of the day you really only need to know how to set up WordPress and you are good to go.

From there, though, you quickly move into the moneymaking aspects of the blogging world.

This is what I think separates the Blogging Fast Lane from everything else you can find. There’s an immediate emphasis and focus on blogging as a business. We’re not just talking about sticking up some ads or offers every now and again and then watching money (maybe) trickle in once in a while.

No.

If that’s the kind of “income stream” you’re looking for, other programs can help you out.

Blogging Fast Lane is set up to build a legitimate “business in a box” from your blog straight out of the gate, with tips and tricks in real inside information about mastering the world of affiliate marketing instantly.

Seriously. The second module in this program (the one right after getting your blog set up) is ALL about affiliate marketing and monetizing your blog.

It’s obvious from this emphasis that Tom and Anna want you to start thinking about how to monetize your blog even before you have traffic. That’s a revolutionary new approach to getting your business up off the ground and is one that has worked incredibly well for students of this course.

Instead of having to fight the natural resistance people have to getting information for free and then later being asked to pay or even better info (which happens with most blogs that monetize late in the game) you learn how to make money right out of the gate.

All without alienating your audience, too!

It doesn’t get a whole lot better than that.

The way that Tom and Anna tell you to focus on creating new, unique, and engaging content for your blog is incredible as well. They don’t necessarily teach you how to write so much as they teach you how to better communicate with your audience – a totally different skill.

You’re not going to learn the nuts and bolts of grammar with this guide, that’s for sure. Instead you’re going to learn how to engage with your audience, how to turn strangers into fans, and how to build a real community.

All of that turns your blog from a pet project into a wealth generating asset. It’s a major paradigm shift and something that has really helped to position the Blogging Fast Lane as the “ultimate blogging business” guide for sure.

Who’s This Program For?

This program was definitely designed to help people that want to learn how to build a travel blog, but it is immediately applicable to folks outside of the travel industry as well.

The inside info contained within will help you get your new blog up and running, but it’s really focused on helping you make money from multiple income streams through that blog more than anything else.

If Superstar Blogging is all about getting your new platform up and running (something it does really well) Blogging Fast Lane would be all about squeezing as much money from your site as possible while still having a lot of fun and creating a fantastic community along the way.

Superstar Blogging or Blogging Fast Lane?

So how do these blogging business programs stack up against one another?

Well, if you’re brand-new to the game and really only want to figure out how to get your blog set up and some basic monetization rolling – and are going to be creating a travel blog exclusively – the Superstar Blogging platform is fantastic.

As mentioned earlier, Nomadic Matt has really put together something pretty impressive here. He’s very honest, very open, and very good at teaching you how to get your new blog up off the ground floor and making money relatively quickly.

He also knows the ins and outs of the travel blogging world better than most, has a lot of transparency and integrity, and the reviews for this course are glowingly positive.

At the same time, if you want to turn your travel blogging into a moneymaking machine that works even while you sleep – and are more interested in the nuts and bolts of enjoying financial freedom while traveling the world and building a community along the way – the Blogging Fast Lane program is probably better suited to your needs.

Tom and Anna, the creators of the Blogging Fast Lane, are seasoned veterans in the travel world.

They have one of the most successful travel blogs on the planet, are known for transparently showing people how and where they make their money while running this amazing blog, and definitely spill all of their secrets (all of their secrets) with people that sign up for the Blogging Fast Lane.

By the time you’re done with this program you’ll know exactly what you have to do to set your blog up, monetize it from day one, and how to ramp things up as your traffic grows to make even more money without ever alienating or turning off your core community.

That’s tough to beat.

Final Verdict

When you stack these two against one another they obviously have a lot of similarities, but there are some glaring differences as well.

Superstar Blogging definitely takes a slower and more deliberate approach to doling out the information that it has to share. You’ll have to slow things down to, you’ll only ever be able to bounce around different lessons after you have completed the whole thing, and the after-purchase support isn’t quite as robust.

That’s not to say that Superstar Blogging isn’t worth a closer look.

All of the amazing reviews out there for this platform definitely say otherwise.

It’s just that the Blogging Fast Lane is so complete, so comprehensive, and so well supported even after you have finished the core lessons that you have to be at least a little bit crazy not to make this your first investment in your blogging education.

The Blogging Fast Lane is a homerun smashed right out of the park.

The videos are in-depth, shot in high definition, and our super interesting and fun. That’s a big testament to Tom and Anna in the energy that they bring to each lesson, too.

The information that they share is obviously hard-won wisdom that they learned through trial and error at they created one of the most successful travel blogs on the planet. They give you all the information you need – warts and all – to avoid the mistakes that they have made so that you can shortcut your path to success.

The monetization part of this program is where the Blogging Fast Lane really separates itself from not only the Superstar Blogging platform but really from the rest of the blogging business guides in general, too.

You are going to learn things about monetizing your blog that you simply won’t find elsewhere. We are talking about novel new approaches to “old” income streams, how to generate money seemingly out of thin air from your blog, how to partner with other travel blogs, how to get free travel, and so much more.

Seriously, the program is almost overstuffed with this kind of info.

And then you have the after-purchase support that was mentioned earlier.

The community that you’ll become a part of as soon as you make your purchase is reason enough to get your hands on the Blogging Fast Lane on its own. You’ll be able to ask questions straightaway, get answers from real travel bloggers that are making big money in the business right now, and will be able to negate with Tom and Anna themselves frequently, too.

This all means that after you have finished the lessons in the Blogging Fast Lane you’re still learning more about the blogging business, even diving into topics that the original lesson plans never covered.

That’s a game changer and makes the Blogging Fast Lane the most valuable blogging business program available right now.
